CACI is currently recruiting for a VIP Communications Support Engineer to join our team in Germany supporting a cleared Military project.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide IT traveling support for VIPs or executives regarding the installation, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of mobile telecommunications suites that call for subject matter expertise in areas of Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and Unclassified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), cryptographic, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) and VoIP, cellular, Wi-Fi, video and messaging communication services.

  • Install, employ, maintain, troubleshoot, operate and document SIPRNet and NIPRNet Automated Data Processing (ADP), IT systems, Terminal and Audio / Video devices in support of designated VIPs (military and civilian) as required.

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Service (PMCS) on assigned ADP IT equipment in support of VIP users that could be in a fixed facility (e.g., military installations, hotels, etc.) or in an austere, deployed location.

  • Install, employ, maintain, troubleshoot, operate and document Defense Mobile Classified and Unclassified Capability for secure voice and secure mail consisting of AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot and other smart phones for Non-secure voice via Blackberry, Apple, or Android-based devices and laptop computers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience with system administrator functions (Active Directory, applying patches, account management, system upgrades).

  • Experience with network administrator functions (configuring routers and switches, troubleshooting IP configurations, routing protocols, EIGRP, OSPF, encryption devices)

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued TS/SCI clearance.

  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+CE, SSCP, GSEC, etc.)

  • Candidate will be supporting General Officer and/or Senior Executive Service VIPs. Candidate must maintain a professional appearance at all times, be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing in English. Candidate will be required to exercise discretion and maintain a low profile.

  • Extensive experience in data, voice, and video operations and configuration.

  • Possess direct working knowledge on configuration, installation, management, and maintenance of network routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VLANs, QoS, and other applicable tools to assist in optimal and compliant configuration and performance.

  • Possess a strong understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) theory for system and network design, and able to produce and brief systems, networks, and architectural diagrams.

  • Possess good working knowledge of networks and systems in order to implement an effective information assurance posture.

  • Experience working with systems and network software management applications.

  • Knowledge of LAN switching protocols, and Security components such as ASA Firewalls, ACL and IOS based security functionality.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior military experience with a Commander’s Communications Team or providing other similar VIPs is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of executive communications kits (e.g., Klas Voyager, EVK, ECK, DECTK, GRRIP) is strongly preferred.

  • CCNA or other advanced Cisco certifications

  • ITIL(V)3 Foundations or higher-level certification.

  • Microsoft certifications in Technology or Solutions track.

Education:

A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience,

OR; an associate degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,

OR; a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,

OR; a High School Diploma and 11 years of recent specialized experience

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
