Community's EMS team has an opportunity available within our transport resource team. The Paramedic is responsible for transporting patients safely within Community Health Network or other healthcare facilities. The Paramedic functions as an EMS Transport Resource Team member, assisting the registered nurse (RN and physician with basic patient care, as well as, Advanced Cardiac Life Support care).
The Resource Team offers flexible 12-hour shifts with competitive flat rates, offering multiple commitment shifts. This position is for one shift per week commitment. This position pays $34 per hour while working, and $29 during orientation, meetings, etc.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. In addition, the following are required:
Paramedics must have high school diploma or GED
Paramedic must be state certified by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
Valid Indiana driver’s license required.
One (1) year of experience working as a paramedic is preferred.
Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to respectfully address interpersonal conflicts.
Accepts accountability for own actions.
Demonstrates openness to change and new learning.
