Brief Job Overview

This position is responsible for expansion activities at Unit I & Unit II, IKP. The role requires proactiveness as a key requirement and the applicant is expected to handle day-to-day project coordination with various contractors, agencies, vendor, landlord’s team and USP staff for timely delivery of project activities.

How will YOU create an impact here at USP?

Position Description : -

The incumbent will be responsible for supervising infrastructure set-up activities of Project Infrastructure of laboratories based in Hyderabad.

  1. Knowledge in setting up laboratory including its utility equipment.

  2. Knowledge in executing utilities services works such as chilled water lines, hot water lines, HVAC systems with 100% exhaust, humidity controlled labs, potent labs, gas systems as required for laboratory.

  3. Well versed with electrical, HVAC, fire alarm & suppression systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, gas systems, etc for setting up laboratory.

  4. Knowledge to understand engineering working drawings for site execution.

  5. Good knowledge in tracking & reporting. Understanding of baseline project schedules & tracking the completion of project deliverables, tasks, activities & milestones.

  6. Coordinate with architect, PMC vendor, various contractors, suppliers for timely delivery of project and ensuring quality of material and specifications.

  7. Monitoring timely delivery of material and its quality aspects as per standards and specifications defined in order / contract, etc.

  8. Understanding of ETP, DM and other water requirements from laboratory operation point of view.

  9. To collaborate with various internal & external stakeholders during project activities.

  10. Coordinate & follow-up with stakeholders during project work.

  11. Ability to understand statutory provisions related to office infrastructure & R&D setups.

  12. To communicate progress to Project Manager from time to time.

  13. To handle work deliverables with necessary safety procedures and guidelines laid down.

  14. To issue work permits as required to work on site.

  15. To coordinate with landlord / property owners and statutory authorities as and when needed.

Who is USP Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in handling multiple interior, office or pharma laboratory setup activities.

  2. Must have excellent knowledge of MS Project, Project Charters, Other Tools & Technics related to project activities.

  3. Bachelor's degree in engineering will be added advantage.

  4. Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  5. Good understanding of project performance matrix.

  6. Knowledge and experience in local authority procedures.

  7. Ability to manage & prioritize own workload & work with limited supervision.
