Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect – SME to provide cloud-based services and support including but not limited to: managing cloud-based systems development, systems engineering and integration support activities including research, collaboration, authoring and maintaining standardized specifications, configurations and implementing server-based configurations as part of the DMATS TDL 47 Services. The successful candidate will lead a small team responsible for sustaining several global enterprise services environments.
Duties will include.
Providing technical systems engineering support, including research, collaboration, authoring and maintaining standardized specifications.
Assessing services for optimal performance and cost.
Leading and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to identify system requirements and develop specifications, performance parameters and optimal configurations.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, requirements, and specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, and even less experienced personnel as required.
Managing capability roadmaps and identifying opportunities to maximize mission partner value and return on investment.
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and services.
May assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
Coordinating amongst various teams in different engineering disciplines to present a unified, integrated product to project stakeholders.
Performing risk management in execution of duties to minimize project risks.
Staying abreast of current Industry best practices.
Serve as an advocate, owning your services and working to enhance value, operational viability and end user adoption and overall product satisfaction.
Supporting the development of program deliverables and key artifacts essential to gaining approval of designs and supporting service operations and sustainment efforts.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Solid application of SE throughout the lifecycle of a development effort.
Candidate must manage the details associated with their services and hold him/herself accountable for mastering all aspects of the project.
Communicate status to peers, management, stakeholders.
Oversee a team of cloud engineers in the development, deployment and sustainment of cloud-based services and architectures.
Manage team and resources to enable service lifecycle activities including cyber compliance, service readiness, and project activities and related deliverables.
Assess proposed changes to information systems, their environment of operation, and mission needs that could affect system authorizations.
Perform deliverable reviews and lead corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
Provide purposeful reviews of security architecting, design, development, and configuration of information systems.
Provide inputs to development teams responsible for designing and developing organizational information systems and upgrading legacy systems.
Ensure teams are employing best practices when designing and implementing information systems including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques and effective testing and reporting processes to validate outcomes.
Manage backlog and capability roadmaps.
Minimum Qualifications
15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
SECRET Security Clearance
Experience with AFSOC Development & Engineering Process.
Experience in applying systems engineering and integration support.
Knowledge of SE and Cloud Service Best practices and leverages innovative approaches to applying those practices in a fast-paced ongoing development environment.
Experience managing the design and installations of complex IT or Communications related systems.
Experience working in a government contracting environment.
Solid organizational skills.
