Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Provide daily support to manufacturing operations and related support teams to ensure technically correct manufacturing and product flow, ensuring necessary quality, on-time delivery, and production costs. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, design engineering, and other teams to define manufacturing work instructions, equipment, tools, materials, and training. Utilize project management techniques and tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Play a key role in the non-conformance process, securing measures for root cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions. Support continuous improvements in manufacturing processes to meet customer quality, cost, and demand requirements. Establish and provide necessary documentation in support of strategic operations programs and customer programs, and participate in project reviews. Proactively support and coach production technicians through frontline support, using an integrated project team approach, and provide training materials as needed. Establish standard work practices across manufacturing and eliminate waste to increase productivity. Develop and verify new jigs, tooling, equipment, parts, and processes to meet requirements. Actively participate in the change management process, driving and implementing process and design changes, and support improvement of business processes. Work with international colleagues to evaluate, improve, and transfer latest processes, maintaining standardization across the company portfolio.

Essential Skills

  • Manufacturing engineering with composite experience (layups, repairs).

  • Non-conformance disposition.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sr Manufacturing Engineer.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience with SAP, CAD, specifically CATIA, and MRO.

  • Understanding of quality and non-conformance disposition.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

  • Experience with MRO is applicable.

  • Experience with CAD, specifically CATIA, is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
