International Communications and Engagement Specialist in Huntsville, Alabama
Position Overview
International Motors is seeking a Communications & Engagement Specialist to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL.
The individual will be responsible for planning meetings, tours and events with customers, suppliers, government officials, strategic partners and internal plant employees. This position will be responsible for ensuring all visitors to the plant are welcomed and experience a first-class experience. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the planning and execution of the internal communications including but not limited to newsletters, manufacturing updates, and signage promoting safety, quality and values.
This role is in a manufacturing facility and hours of operation are Mon-Thurs 6:30AM – 5:00PM.
Responsibilities
Be part of the Plant Mgmt. team
Provide administrative support to the Director and the manufacturing leadership team
Engage with manufacturing and support internal teams with a strong understanding of the business
Participate, plan and support employee engagement activities
Ensure visitors have a first class and valuable experience including plant tour coordination and support
Lead the planning and implementation of employee and customer events
Coordinate catering, logistics, set up and break down of activities
Track and work within defined budget for events
Execute communications across the plant, tailoring to the appropriate audience
Provides accurate and timely information to team for planning and execution of customer visit / event
Work with various departments to ensure all details and last-minute changes are addressed
Process payments for meetings and events
Work on-site and off-site events in support of the role as needed
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event coordination process and in all employee and customer interactions
Partner with internal communications team
Work with confidential information
Other projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of communications experience
OR
- Master’s degree
OR
- At least 4 years of communications experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
