Here at the Mick George Group, we are looking for an experienced Administrator to join the team at our Head Office in Huntingdon.

Job Overview:

As part of our central support services, working from Head Office, you will provide administrative support to the H&S and Quality function in the Group.

Working closely with the H&S and Quality managers the role will comprise the collation, preparation and distribution of information, processing / production of reports and statistics and the administration of management system databases.

The position offers a varied administrative workload across different subject areas and provides the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of the application health and safety and UKAS management systems to a large and diverse business through supported ‘on the job’ training.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly Health and Safety statistics for each business.

  • Extraction of information from the management system software database (Activ) to prepare and monitor the management of Improvement Logs.

  • Preparation and distribution of health and safety toolbox talks and safety alerts

  • Maintenance of the central COSHH library for the business.

  • Administration and management of our ‘near miss’ reporting system (Logincident) including management of users, data processing and raising Improvement Logs from reports where required

  • Support in the collation of information related to accident / incident investigation.

  • Updating the Activ system with starters and leavers, uploading new and reviewed documents, administration of registers, providing support in training and problem resolution for users.

  • Assist with updating and maintaining on-line records for the Group’s industry quality and safety scheme certifications.

  • Assist with the provision of information for the completion of customer supply chain questionnaires and PQQ’s.

    Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administration role.

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability to interpret technical information

  • Ability to convey information accurately and clearly in a manner which is understood.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package.
