Wheatland Farms Farm Supervisor in Hudson, Colorado
Wheatland Farms (Hudson, CO) is Hiring Farm Supervisor to supervise, train, and coordinate activities of agricultural employees. In coordination with the owner/manager, assigning duties and coordinating work schedules. Driving and operating farm machinery such as carts, tractors, trucks, sprayers, combines, and various implements. Monitoring or assisting with the maintenance, overhaul, and winterization of farm equipment and vehicles in order to optimize its performance, including welding, fabricating, repairing, or replacing parts needed. Maintaining or supervising the maintenance and upkeep of facilities and grounds, including, but not limited to mowing, building repairs and everyday upkeep. Handling chemicals, seed, and fertilizer inventory. Conferring with owner/manager for crop rotation, and chemical application for weeds and pest control. Inspecting crops, productivity, and operations to ensure standards are met. Creating and maintaining records and reports to track crop progress, equipment breakdowns, failures, and routine maintenance. Assisting with general supervisory tasks as needed. Requires 12 months of experience as a Farm supervisor or farm equipment operator, High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire.
