Job Overview:
Reports to Welding Foreman. Supervises Welder Helpers-Welder Storeman-Welders
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning the welding procedure qualifications and production, as instructed by the Welding Foreman
Ensure sufficient tools and supplies are available onboard to allow the welding work to be performed timely and efficiently
Ensure that all welding is done in accordance with approved procedures
Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings
Ensure tools are maintained in safe working condition
Use TRAs and Tool Box Meetings to eliminate unsafe acts and reduce frequency and number of injuries
Ensure subordinates do not make or utilize homemade tools
Ensure welding leads and gas hoses are run in a congestion free and safe manner
Any other duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Welder Foreman
Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety standards and Work practices
Following all company policies and procedures, and ensuring subordinates do the same.

Essential Qualifications and Education:
High school graduate
Previous experience with welding and pipelay systems
1 year previous as fitter, and 2 years as welder
