Kinetic Pressure Control Limited Senior Software Engineer in Houston, Texas
DUTIES:
- Design, write and/or configure software and hardware for equipment and/or applications.
Provide support for the implementation, training, troubleshooting and controlled version management of software products locally and on deployments.
Work with customers (internal/external) and review project defining documents to understand project requirements.
Collaborating with other engineers to create meaningful solutions to challenging engineering problems.
Design and program PLC software and HMI Applications used on a K-BOS and BOP and its auxiliary systems.
Write and perform internal testing, customer FAT and on-site commissioning of control systems.
Design and/or troubleshoot associated hardware, configurations and software as required including providing provide remote field support when needed.
Assist in the development and maintenance of hardware and software documentation to effectively manage products. This includes, but is not limited to, assembly/manufacturing/testing procedures, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Installation/Commissioning procedures, event specific troubleshoot procedures and Management of Change / Quality scope.
Review the design work completed by other members of the engineering department as an objective third party, providing constructive feedback.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in computer science or Software Engineering or electrical engineering; Masters degree in Systems Engineering or Automation Engineering or Computer Science; Eight years experience in control engineering; five years experience in Structure Text Language controlling Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
