Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our Accounting and Finance Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze financial data, identify trends and prepare reports for management.
Communicate clearly with multiple levels of leadership and help translate complex financial results with clear outcomes and calls-to-action.
Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards and reports.
Research peer and related industry metrics for benchmark analysis.
Help craft presentations for the board of directors, credit rating agencies, potential investors, and recommendations to the Management Team.
Support due diligence activities and assist in the financial evaluation of potential M&A opportunities.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial planning applications and reporting
Qualifications
Prerequisites:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Powerpoint and Excel (experience with BI tools such as Power BI a plus)
2-5 years of prior experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis, investment banking, accounting or consulting role
Skills and Characteristics:
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly convey complex financial information to stakeholders with varying levels of financial acumen
Strong financial modeling skills. Ability to build and interpret financial models in Excel
Maintain high quality and accurate analysis while operating under tight deadlines
Positive attitude with a commitment to superior customer service
Confidence to collaborate across all levels of management
Strong interpersonal skills with a variety of personalities
Highly analytical
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
High integrity and ethics
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
Additional Information
Work Location-- This position is based at our Houston Headquarters located in West Houston, near the intersection I-10 Katy Freeway and 610 W Loop N Fwy.
