Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector will perform quality control inspections of structural and piping welding, piping fabrication, and assembly of fabricated structures. The inspections will consist of visual, dimensional, assembly, and testing verification, as well as some field inspections if required.
Responsibilities
Perform visual inspection of welded parts and assemblies in accordance with the applicable design requirements.
Interpret drawings, procedures, instructions, and specifications to determine the acceptance of the product undergoing examination.
Perform dimensional inspection on piece parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable design documents within the manufacturing facility, at suppliers, or at customer sites.
Monitor and record results of component testing (hydrostatic testing, coating, etc.), witness, or process audits in accordance with documented procedures.
Prepare non-conformance reports where applicable and complete all other documentation requirements.
Ensure documentation of inspection and testing is performed.
Assist in the training of other personnel as required by appropriate management or specific task requirements.
Essential Skills
Minimum of two years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management.
Minimum of two years of experience with ISO-9001 or similar quality management systems.
Minimum of two years of experience with ASME Section VIII, IX, V, ASME B31.9, ASME B31.3, ISO-9001, AWS Dl .1, SSPC, or similar welding, construction, and quality codes.
Minimum Level I NDE inspection experience (prefer level II) with at least three years of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with quality control, inspection, and quality management systems.
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with visual and dimensional inspection, hydrotesting, and weld inspection.

Work Environment
The work environment includes manufacturing and warehouse settings that are non-climate controlled. The position may involve night shifts with a 10% differential.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
