Heres What Youll Get to Do * Run, setup and shut-down machine, change tools, calibrate machine, read work orders (BOM), document downtime, and consistently hit production goals set by leadership * The workweek for this position is Monday through Friday. There will be mandatory overtime as business needs require. This could include overtime on Saturday * Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job * Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculating and measuring for hole size and placement, and inspecting work * Read labels, sketches, system program, and be able to perform spatial visualization interpretation * All shop functions required by supervisors are considered essential functions for the job * Notify lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues * Work overtime with flexible starting times in some departments * Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages * Ensure the machine is maintained in good working condition * Maintain a safe and clean work area * Basic PMS
What Were Looking For To be considered for the maintenance electrician position, the following conditions must be met: * Basic computer familiarity * Accurate data entry skills * Perform work as assigned by supervisor * Read, understand, and communicate * Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages * Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure * Notify lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues * Maintain a safe and clean work area * All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production * Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Requirements * Lift no more than 75 pounds * Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently * Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more * Ability to wear company-issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection * Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high. * Ability to work in varied temperatures * The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.) * Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant. The Company, in an effort to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE. * While some chemicals may pose health risks if PPE is not properly used, employees are trained on the proper safety equipment and procedures for handling chemicals. * While the chemical exposure and odors are nder acceptable levels set by OSHA and the WCB, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the companys hazardous communication program.
