Role Responsibilities:

  • Support local engineer in their development.

  • Manage projects on time and complete.

  • Work with project manager to understand the timelines of projects.

  • Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.

  • Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.

  • Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.

  • Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.

  • Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.

  • Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.

  • Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.

  • Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks. • Support functional testing for building systems.

  • Assign job to your team and manage the outcome.

  • Deliver projects on time and under budget.

  • Provide leadership to your team.

  • Understanding and/or experience with IP networks

  • Understanding and/or experience with Microsoft Visio and/or similar software.

  • Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.

  • Familiar with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.

  • Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of building automation systems and/or controls engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.

  • Basic knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of Automated Logic software, peripherals, add-ons, services, or hardware design.
