We are inviting applications for the role of Cloud System Administrator in the Energy industry, based in Houston, Texas, , United States. In this role, you will manage both on-premises and cloud-based systems, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and ready for the future. Candidates needs a strong understand of automation and DevOps

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage robust compute and storage platforms to support business applications and operations.

• Streamline deployment and maintenance processes through automation and orchestration.

• Establish and enforce standards for Windows and Linux environments, focusing on security, performance, and user experience.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure roadmap that aligns with organizational goals.

• Strengthen identity management systems, including Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Entra solutions.

• Develop and enforce identity governance policies focusing on least privilege access, reducing identity risk across environments.

• Implement and maintain secure access controls, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

• Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure in Azure, focusing on performance, cost optimization, and scalability.

• Manage enterprise collaboration platforms to support productivity and connectivity.

• Champion the implementation of automation tools and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to implement best practices.

• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure system uptime and reliability.

• Resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and issues proactively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry is essential.

• Candidate should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrable experience in a Cloud System Administrator role or similar.

• Proficient in Azure AD Connect.

• Advanced understanding of Azure Active Directory.

• Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Azure/Windows Azure.

• Proficient in DevOps methodology which includes CI/CD

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.

• Commitment to continuous detail-oriented development.

• Willingness to work in different time zones if required.
