Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a CFO in the industry, based in Houston, Texas, 77060, United States. The CFO will be in charge of leading the finance department and its staff, driving the organization's financial strategy, and ensuring compliance with national and local financial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance department and its team members efficiently

• Drive the organization's financial strategy and determine hiring needs within the finance department

• Oversee cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting

• Coordinate the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as the reporting for these

• Ensure that cash flow is in line with operations by supervising daily accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities

• Develop and implement best practices and tools for effective fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows

• Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking the necessary action

• Collaborate with senior managers to develop budget proposals efficiently, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting

• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement

• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives

• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for management team and rest of company

• Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position

• Proficient in accounting functions, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation

• Skilled in conducting audits, ensuring compliance with financial laws and guidelines

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferable

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is desirable

• Exceptional strategic planning skills and ability to implement financial strategies effectively

• Proven leadership skills, with an ability to manage and motivate teams

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and financial forecasting

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial staff members

• Proficient in using financial software and databases
