Duties: Be very aware of guest room status in relationship to housekeeping, maintenance, etc. Be able to check guests in and out of hotel, receiving proper form of payment and guest loyalty program information as well as assigning pertinent available room rate. Verify guest\'s information, issue guest room keys, following safety and security procedures without compromising guest\'s personal and financial information. Answer the hotel telephone system, transferring calls appropriately, courteously as requested. Provide information to guests relating to local attractions, directions, hotel amenities and sales promotions. Distributes High-speed wireless Internet cards if available, securing required information and release forms, documenting related information as required by the hotel. Be proficient at setting up payment for direct bills, gift certificates, complimentary rooms, and guest charge transfers. Resolve guest complaints, incidents, and enforces Noise policies and Code-of-Conduct rules. This also includes pool rules, open container rules for alcohol and enforces parental/leader responsibility for minors. Maintain work area, restocking supplies and cleaning work area as needed. Be familiar with special event procedures, emergency procedures, rate changes, cancellation policies, and reservation procedures. Maintain compliance with company policies, practices, procedures, and safety standards. Report to supervisor any immediate problems, significant results, or related information. Place orders for front desk or guest supplies as needed with the management. Communicate with the housekeeping regarding no-shows, late check-outs, early arrivals, guest requests, cribs, or roll-aways, etc. Execute other associated responsibilities as directed by the management.
