Summary
This role encompasses the entire process of production from material to customers. You will be involved in the day-to-day manufacturing operations, managing inventory level, and maximizing the company’s profitability. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. You will serve as a main communicator who guides the production floor, operators, and engineers to support and deliver world-class manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Set the production goals and monitor production performance day to day basis
Monitor each team's productivity and provide guidance on production metrics
Synchronize information flow between multiple IT systems (GMES, GDW, GSCM, DP, DW, FP, MRP, WMS, etc.)
Set up weekly meetings between SCM, Marketing, Purchasing and Production Management Teams
Analyze the gap between performance and goals and dig up improvement plan
Manage Production Life Cycle (Product order - Development - Mass Production - EOP - A/S - EOL)
Production capacity management (Capacity Allocation, facility improve investment, building new line, LOB management, etc.)
Resource management and planning (Headcount, Investment Budget, Equipment, Engineer allocation)
Work closely with production strategy to align production KPIs and company's goals
Defining appropriate Inventory stock level and checking the observance of inventory operation policy
Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage(from raw material, semi product, final product)
Master data creation/maintenance (BOM/BOD/Routing/Lead Time/Tact Time, etc.)
Collaborate and monitor closely with quality control, operators, and engineers on production performance
Promptly address and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production
Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
Promptly discuss the relevant departments regarding changes to current production schedules
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
- 0-7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry
