Teufel Landscape Accounts Payable Specialist in Hillsboro, Oregon

We are a fast-growing commercial landscape construction company looking for a motivated individual to join our team. You will report to the Controller and play a crucial role in keeping our financial system running smoothly. This position is an in-office job located in our Hillsboro office just off Hwy 26 and Cornelius Pass Road.

You will help manage cash flow via paying vendors and you will also process, track and record payments in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) will have a daily ongoing impact on financial transactions which will keep us on track and on time with our valued business partners.

Objectives of this role

  • Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems

  • Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments

  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process via accurate recordkeeping and documentation

  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting

  • Comply with national and local financial regulations

Responsibilities

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment

  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry

  • Execute credit card and bank account reconciliations

  • Generate purchase orders when necessary

  • Assist senior financial officers as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Understanding of basic principles of accounting

  • Superb time management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information

  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers

  • Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF and accounting software

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable

  • 1-3 years’ experience with accounting software and online platforms – experience with Acumatica is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
