SAIC Senior RAM Systems Engineer in HILL AFB, Utah

Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM ) Systems Engineer to support the United States Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the Sentinel weapon system at Hill AFB, Utah. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the requirement baseline, development, integration, and verification for segments, elements, and subsystems of the Sentinel weapon system. The ideal candidate will be involved in creative and impactful work in areas of reliability, availability, and maintainability, complying with industry standards and analyzing performance reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the proper allocation, traceability, and verification of requirements at all levels through the lifecycle of the program.

  • Support expectations, preparations, and delivery for major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, PSR).

  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach for system architecture to requirements traceability and interface development.

  • Develop and present technical briefings to peers, management, and customers.

  • Propose changes in design or formulation to improve system reliability, availability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.

  • Experience using requirements database tools (DOORS, Jama, Cameo Requirements Modeler, etc.).

  • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, SysML, and DoDAF/UAF/UPDM.

  • Proficient in mathematical, algorithmic, and statistical analysis methods and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, allocation, change management, verification, and validation.

  • Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and meeting schedule and performance goals.

  • Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience assessing reliability data of fielded systems for documenting RAM and Logistics metrics and reliability growth trends.

  • Experience performing reliability (MTBF, MTBCF, PoF, Ao, Am, Ai) analysis, maintainability and logistics (LRU, MTBM, MTTR, MDT) analysis, sparing analysis, and simulations supporting military and industry standards.

  • Experience recommending design or test methods and statistical analysis (AMSAA Planning Model and Reliability Growth Curves).

  • Experience in developing Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis procedures and roadmaps to meet program performance requirements within life-cycle cost constraints.

  • Experience in development of Condition-Based Maintenance Plus programs to meet key initiatives for sustaining material readiness at optimum cost.
