Actalent Entry Level Electrical Engineer in Highland, Indiana
A multi-disciplined MEP consulting engineering firm based in Northwest Indiana is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team!
Job Description:
Consult/coordinate with project engineering department to compile project information; analyze the data to begin the engineering process
Coordinate the project’s design and engineering requirements with the project engineering departments
Distribute design information, meeting notes, etc. to the design team
Conduct engineering surveys, research, and code analysis/interpretation
Compile data from building codes, field surveys, system specifications, handbooks and other sources required for project design
Prepare preliminary concept drawings
Prepare engineering calculations and energy simulations
Select and specify systems and equipment
Prepare engineering reports
Prepare contract documents (plans and specifications)
Review plans and specifications for engineering accuracy/thoroughness, office quality standards, conformance to scope of work and design criteria and for general coordination issues
Attend design review meetings with engineering departments
Review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s, conduct site observation visits, prepare field reports, attend construction meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
0+ years of experience
AutoCAD proficiency, Revit is a bonus
Prior Electrical Engineering experience within building design is required (internships included)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
