We are looking for passionate software engineers who have experience building innovative and high-volume applications. This is a high visibility team where you'll make a direct positive impact on the customer experience. We are excited about our roadmap that involves building technology for new business initiatives with the opportunity to work on grounds-up product development.

Additionally, on this team you will interface with key stakeholders, both domestic and international, who use our platform to address the need to streamline their government security clearance workflow process. This includes managing globally regionalized resources, implementing enhanced security measures, and building micro-services for data-exploration and visualization of business insights across AWS.

The Senior Engineer will work on a set of technologies (full-stack) leveraging AWS and common industry standards. You will work across the broader organization to work directly with business leaders and engineering teams to design and implement new product features. You will be able to push your design and architecture limits by owning all aspects of solutions end-to-end. You will develop highly scalable, low latency, intelligent software that will have a massive impact for customers. You should have strong verbal and written communication skills, are self-driven, and can deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Design scalable and fault-tolerant platform components that will power full-stack applications for building compelling user experiences

  • Collaborate with admin users and product teams on the UX design to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes and transform them into exciting experiences

  • Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automation and processes that are used by teams across AWS

  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews

  • Dive deep into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility

  • Mentor your team members to promote engineering excellence

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
