The Perimeter Protection UX Design team is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior UX Designer who will join us to build the future of security design experiences.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a creative and customer-obsessed Sr. UX Designer to help lead design for a new unified AWS network security experience. Your work will empower millions of people working with AI and data, to help customers increase security.

You will work collaboratively with leaders across AWS and AWS customers to deliver a bar raising product that is intuitive, easy to use, and delightful.

You’ll be responsible for driving design deliverables such as interaction models, scenarios, sketches, storyboards, wireframes, user interface designs, and prototypes. You use Figma and are familiar with HTML/CSS. You know how to balance qualitative and quantitative data to help make the best user-centered design decisions.

Design highly crafted products that delight a wide range of users working with AI/ML and data.

You care and work towards fostering an inclusive and supportive design culture.

Drive design through all phases, from user research and exploratory prototypes to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.

Collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams across design, product, engineering, and management.

Key job responsibilities

Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment.

Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.

Use business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements.

Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences.

Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.

Facilitate the design process, present and iterate design solutions.

Chart a course for yourself in ambiguous situations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
