ManTech Master Scheduler in Herndon, Virginia

We are looking for an efficient Master Scheduler to join our Program! As our Lead Scheduler, you would be responsible for overseeing the creation and planning of equipment replacement and facility maintenance project schedules, events, and plans as needed.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for project schedules across the customer organization. This position will work closely with Engineering, Complex Projects, IT Solutions, Program Management Office, and Procurement to identify and track resourcing needs and help establish work planning.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Support Program with Integrated Master Schedules that are developed and maintained for multiple projects to summary a program portfolio. This will require the liaison with mission partners and task owners to determine the sequencing and duration of activities.

  • Create a project baseline for each project and monitor project progress against that baseline.

  • Identify and resolve resource and schedule conflicts and constraints among multiple projects.

  • Provide impact analysis of schedule changes; identify schedule variances and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies for the Project Management team.

  • Develop network diagrams to determine critical paths and critical path activities.

  • Evaluate “what if” scenarios to determine how the project schedules are affected and review these project schedules and brief management on slippage or potential slippage; identify root causes of any issues.

  • Experience in providing detailed analysis and reporting of project schedules; from project inception; through the development phases; to project completion.

  • Attend pertinent project meetings and proactively validate schedule milestones, document engineering constraints and/or slippage or acceleration of work activities while analyzing emerging risk items and performance trends for root causes.

  • Have an understanding of policies; methods; and procedures that includes advanced Planning and Scheduling techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be highly organized.

  • Must be able to accurately prioritize a list of tasks that need to be accomplished.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Highly detail-oriented and an excellent communicator

  • Create and maintain project schedules and assist in driving organizational activities to those schedules.

  • Work with project manager to establish and plan near-term and long-term priorities.

  • Work with customer and teammates to assure universal and thorough understanding of each equipment replacement and facility project schedule so that all deliverables align with master schedules.

  • Using project schedules, establish resource plans.

  • Assist business development with new project schedules, resource estimation, and availability planning.

  • Work closely with program management to track and report performance metrics.

  • Act as a focal point for communication both internally and externally on planning and schedule related information of both customers and stakeholders.

  • Excellent ability to work in a “team” environment and share knowledge of discipline specific work in both a vertical (up and down the org chart) and horizontal (across disciplines and departments) orientation.

  • Ability to make well-formed, rational decisions and demonstrate problem-solving skills within organizational policies and procedures.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and written skills.

  • Provide management and guidance to other scheduler/planner staff.

  • Exercise administrative judgment on a regular and continuous basis and assume responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people and quality of service to customers.

  • Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in highly analytical courses (e.g., Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, etc.).

  • BA/BS and 7 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 11 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Project Planning/Scheduling

  • Previous experience in scheduling and planning equipment and/or facility projects.

  • Working knowledge of the following preferred

  • All common MS Office applications, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis and graphing

  • Scheduling software, specifically MS Project or similar

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Must be a US Citizen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.

  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.

  • Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.

  • Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; IT service requests; work orders; etc.
