About the role:

The Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, product quality, and continuous improvement within a production environment. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data, and drive root cause analysis to address issues related to production quality, efficiency, and handoffs. Additionally, they support Supplier Quality initiatives in collaboration with Procurement.

This position is part of the Operations Department located in Hemet CA and will be on-site.

In this role, you will:

  • Root Cause Analysis and Process Improvement:

  • Investigate and identify root causes of Out of Box (OOB) and Production Quality issues.

  • Collaborate with production teams to address process inefficiencies and optimize production workflows.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

  • Monitor key process metrics (e.g., cycle time, productivity, downtime) to ensure processes are in control.

  • Handoffs and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate smooth handoffs between production, Sustaining Engineering, and R&D Engineering.

  • Coordinate communication and information flow to ensure seamless transitions during product development and production phases.

  • Supplier Quality Support:

  • Collaborate with Procurement to assess supplier quality and performance.

  • Participate in supplier audits, risk assessments, and deviation processes.

  • Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and improve processes.

  • Technology Deployment and Automation:

  • Evaluate new technologies and proof-of-concept testing for production suitability.

  • Identify gaps and risks in existing processes and recommend improvements.

  • Contribute to the selection and implementation of production infrastructure.

Are you qualified?

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial).

  • Experience: 1-year Hands-on experience in production engineering, process troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, familiarity with ERP, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year.
