Misr Technology Services Chief Accountant in Heliopolis, Egypt
Job Duties:
Review and approve daily accounting entries in accordance with company policies and post the approved entries to the general ledger.
Verify the accuracy of daily payment calculations and ensure proper tax deductions.
Monitor the company’s tax position across various tax types (salary tax, income tax, VAT, and source deduction tax).
Prepare the required analysis and data for tax examinations.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare the necessary documentation.
Oversee the monthly closing of accounts within specified deadlines.
Compile and review data for regulatory authorities, including the Central Auditing Organization, financial controllers, and tax advisors.
Prepare the financial analysis and data for quarterly and year-end financial statements.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by the accounting team.
Conduct periodic inventory checks and reconcile company assets.
Respond to reports from supervisory authorities.
Participate in the preparation of periodic and annual financial statements.
Continuously develop and enhance work methods and procedures.
Ensure the company’s accounting practices comply with Egyptian accounting standards.
Engage in committees, working groups, and meetings related to financial management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting major.
Accredited certificates from well-recognized financial institutions are advantageous.
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting.
Proficiency in SAP and financial statement preparation.
Extensive experience in a corporate environment.
Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
Detail-oriented, consistent, and accurate.
Excellent organizational skills and numerical aptitude.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team by example.
