Essential Function:

Requires ability to effectively manage over 200 associates in their respective job duties.Requires experience in the grocery industry, merchandising, associate relations, report preparation, money handling, accounting, and effective administration. Must be able to achieve or exceed budget projections in gross profit, sales, and labor percent. Bending, lifting, and standing required. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Basic Functions:

1)Assume Store Director's duties in his/her absence.2)Follow directives of Store Director.3)Provide the best product and service possible.4)Maintain a friendly, professional attitude.5)Motivate, schedule, and direct subordinates.6)Monitor and evaluate associates on a regular basis.7)Control and purchase inventory.8)Enforce Company policies and procedures.9)Interview, hire and terminate associates.10)Follow Company Safety Standards.

Specific Skills:

1)Increase sales and profits through proper merchandise and associate management.2)Be the model image for the entire store - set the attitude for both service and operations.3)Plan, organize and direct daily store activities.4)Direct Safety Program - timely filing of Workers' Compensation forms - follow-up.5)Budget planning, sales forecasting, gross computations.6)Customer and associate relations.7)Written and verbal communication skills, with Department Managers and Home Office.8)New associate orientation and paperwork.9)Order and merchandise Specialty Foods.10)Interpersonal skills.11)Knowledge of all equipment and machinery.

Machinery/Equipment:

Safe usage, proper storage and cleaning of all machinery in the store.

Schedule:

FT - Variable Schedule, including weekends
