Description
Do you want to utilize your customer service skills and abilities to make a positive impact on citizens and guests visiting Parks and Recreation facilities? If so, the City of Harrisonburg's Parks and Recreation Department's Recreation Attendant - Facilities position may be the right job for you!
The Parks and Recreation Department's Recreation Attendant - Facilities position is a year-round part-time position (no benefits) and a preferred hiring rate of $15.96 per hour.
As a Recreation Attendant - Facilities, you'll:
Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about processes or services;
Monitor the conduct of patrons at the facility;
Promote facility services and events;
Operate assigned office equipment, including cash registers and computer software/systems;
Collect money and issue receipts of payment;
Reconcile cash on hand with daily receipts;
Maintain daily records;
Perform daily maintenance tasks on a regular schedule;
Maintain the facility and storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of the tenth grade and minimal experience in a customer service position required. High school diploma or GED, preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.
At least 16 years of age prior to hire date, approximately 3 weeks after initial application date.
CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within the first three months of employment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, preferred.

The selected candidate for this position will be subject to the following screenings and must receive satisfactory results:

This position is subject to the City of Harrisonburg's random drug testing program.
