DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Application Developer 2, you will provide application development services in support of middleware applications. You will serve as a technical and business team member, cross-functional project resource, or lead worker for the systems development life cycle (SDLC) management of these mission critical applications used to support various Program Offices within the Delivery Center. As you develop your knowledge of our delivery center, you will provide mentoring to other technical staff. You can expect to use platforms and systems such as Visual Studio, BizTalk, Azure, and file transfer systems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. You will be required to come into the office to pick up your equipment, attend trainings and mandatory meetings, or on an ad hoc basis. Your supervisor will give you a 24-hour notice and all travel will be at your own expense. Parking is located at the building and is free. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, reporting in-office 1 day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or A bachelor's degree in any information technology field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
