DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will serve as a State National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Specialist tasked with data entry, grant management, teaching, map reading, and evaluating municipal floodplain programs. You may also be tasked with  undertaking emergency tasks during disaster events. Additionally, you will offer technical assistance, mapping and ordinance information, and support to local governments and other entities seeking floodplain management guidance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

FREE on-site parking Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch Travel for this position is required Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of a training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will receive the minimum starting salary listed on this posting.  The starting salary is non-negotiable. One year as an Administrative Officer 1. or Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:
