Big Horn County is seeking a Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker / Seasonal Fairgrounds Worker. GENERAL DUTIES: Perform a variety of general and domestic cleaning services; keep or assure assigned buildings are clean and orderly; clean restrooms; make minor repairs; maintain grounds around buildings; water, mow and perform other lawn care; shovel snow; keep furnaces in operation, maintain boilers, air compressor and air conditioners. Contacts with others is substantial but is incidental to performance of duties, requiring only common courtesy and relaying of information. SEASONAL DUTIES: Maintain Fairgrounds, Baseball Fields, and County Stockyards and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - Any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school; - A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the maintenance of buildings desirable; - Some common-sense knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical trades helpful. - Must possess a valid Montana Driver License and must be an insurable driver. - Physical requirements include climbing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds (greater with assistance). PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING: The successful applicant must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. SALARY: $17.50 per hour, plus benefits HOURS: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
