The Senior Finance Manager – Technical Accounting will oversee the research, analysis and execution of complex accounting transactions and serve as the SOX Compliance lead for the Access Segment .

It requires a strong focus on technical accounting guidance and process improvement, supporting key business functions in identifying and mitigating financial reporting risks while enhancing operating efficiencies. This position will provide technical accounting support and drive process improvements to strengthen the company’s control environment. This position will also be responsible for critical internal control activities by providing recommendations and guidance to process owners on the preferred internal control design and process enhancements that maintain a strong internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing subject matter expertise in a wide range of accounting topics and providing critical counsel to leaders across all Access businesses, distilling complex accounting rules down to actionable solutions.

  • Partnering with process owners to design and implement strong internal controls over financial reporting and process improvement recommendations to enhance internal control effectiveness and operational efficiency across all global business units.

  • Consulting with business and finance leaders on accounting implications of potential strategies, unusual transactions and events.

  • Managing complex accounting research projects through to their conclusion, meeting key deadlines, reviewing/writing technical accounting memos, and regularly advising key stakeholders on the critical impacts of each project.

  • Advising on mergers, acquisition, and divestiture diligence, purchase accounting and other matters—as well as participating in numerous other specialty areas such as legal matters and restructurings.

  • Leading implementation and communicating the impact of new accounting standards across the Segment.

  • Partnering with OSK Corporate Finance on the compliance to US GAAP and OSK financial policies and ensuring nonadherence is documented and approved by OSK SVP Controller on an annual basis.

  • Serve as a key resource with external auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities regarding SOX compliance and internal controls for the Segment. Coordinating to drive timely resolution of challenging matters. Perform risk assessments to identify financial and operational control gaps and recommend improvements.

  • Support audit readiness initiatives, ensuring business units are prepared for external audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure effective financial system controls and data security.

  • Contribute to process automation and technology enhancements to improve financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

  • 8+ years of combined experience in accounting and/or finance in a public or private environment.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating internal controls in a multinational environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across finance, audit, and IT teams.

  • May include limited domestic/international travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed, active Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

  • Experience in a manufacturing industry with a complex global footprint.

  • Big 4 public accounting experience

  • Ten (10) Years of relevant financial accounting experience, including providing counsel to stakeholders and resolving complex accounting matters.

  • Excellent communication skills (at all levels in the organization), both written and verbal

Pay Range:

$117,000.00 - $202,400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
