Responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of IT hardware (Ends user, Server & Network Infrastructure assets) within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording hardware assets to ensure compliance. Develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Manage and monitor the asset management system to ensure IT asset data is captured, recorded, and updated in a timely manner. Assist with the development and implementation of processes and procedures that are consistent with industry best practices for tracking assets through the asset lifecycle.
We are looking for a solid, ambitious, and very dynamic IT Asset Management (ITAM) generalist who can be inserted into different situations within the team and be a solid contributor to driving change and innovation through process efficiency, reengineering, and automation.
Positions in this function create and deliver high quality system solutions for our applications, products and services across all technology functions. They consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes. Individuals in these roles may perform analysis and also serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements. They provide technical support in developing systems that are cost effective and meet users’ requirements. This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise. Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Continuously evaluate asset lifecycle processes for improvement and increased effectiveness on controls and quality from purchase through disposal - both hardware and software; candidate will develop innovative solutions by assisting in the re-engineering of complex process and will strive for automation, simplification, and scalability
Utilizes solid analytical skills and demonstrates innovative thinking and creative solutions with attention to detail in developing and documenting processes and automation, and solutions
Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management
Design processes relating to hardware asset management, execute and enhance them
Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance
Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
Partners with senior leaders across departments to establish and maintain ITAM corporate policy, and creates, communicates, and maintains guidelines for policy exceptions
Work with asset owners including End user and data center assets to ensure proper chain of custody process, controls, and data management from purchase through disposal
Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the end user, server & network infrastructure, and IT systems
Work to develop a master asset management plan specifically attuned for all devices. Assess and manage risks associated with current assets
Collaborates with all levels of staff in IT Asset Management; Network Services Operations, Data Center Facilities, Enterprise Hosting Services, Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement and IT Finance Engage with cross functional teams to ensure customer and ITAM requirements are met, and goals achieved
Contribute to, and deliver on, medium to large size IT asset management, general enterprise process enhancements, etc.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
3+ years or more direct experience in IT Asset management, IT Audit or Compliance, Sourcing & Procurement, Technology, or process efficiency, automation, and re-engineering; Business Process Management experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
Understanding of the IT asset lifecycle and general IT Asset Management tools, functions, charters
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field preferred
Experience using industry standard ITAM solutions like SNOW Software etc.
Advanced analytic, data management and reporting
Understanding of contractual language, terms & conditions
Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
Solid vendor management and negotiation skills
Knowledge of IT asset disposition practices
Good to have knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool
Solid ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
Proven excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring
Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills Superior attention to detail
Solid documentation skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Good understanding of data center infrastructure and end user technology environments
Good understanding of hardware asset management policies, procedures and best practices
Good working knowledge of ITSM systems like ServiceNow and Remedy
