JOB OBJECTIVE: Oversee the daily operations and programs of all Harrison County Community and Civic Centers with responsibilities to include coordinating outreach activities, managing budgets, leading community engagement efforts, designing and implementing programs, scheduling events and overseeing staff and volunteers. This role will be pivotable in creating a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters community engagement, personal growth, and social interaction among diverse populations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Coordinate facility rentals and usage agreements with external groups and individuals. Collect payments and maintain documentation on all reservations made for all community centers. 2. Communicate all reservations to each superintendent/assistant superintendent responsible for each particular community center. 3. Develop and manage the centers' budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. 4. Must be able to supervise employees working at centers as well as inmates who may be used to work as needed. 5. Identify opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and community outreach initiatives. 6. Oversee the maintenance and safety of the facility, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and accessible environment. Ensure the centers operate efficiently and effectively within budgetary constraints. 7. Perform custodial duties and minor maintenance work as needed. 8. Perform sanitation control and check safety hazards as needed; perform regular maintenance and clean-up after functions as needed; must be able to work any hours and/or days of the weeks necessary in completing tasks as needed. 9. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate community center staff. 10. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and center policies.
