Position: Production Supervisor

Job Description:

Ramp Logistics is looking for a highly accomplished individual who will manage the production team to ensure the daily fulfillment of orders based on priority & service level agreements. The Production Supervisor is responsible for upholding warehouse safety, assignment accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance as well as coordinating warehouse activities under the direction of the warehouse manager/operations manager.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Supervise the production team to ensure daily order fulfillment

  • Ensure orders are being picked, packed, and shipped efficiently based on priority and client needs

  • Understand, drive, and ensure departmental key performance indicators (KPI’s) are being met

  • Provide employee training and maintain training records

  • Maintain customer documentation processing and filing

  • Utilize WMS (Scale) to manage and assign workload

  • Plan and allocate labor to the roles necessary based on daily output and projections

  • Receive product using warehouse inventory software’s, such as SCALE WMS

  • Manage inventory and perform Inventory Cycle Counts

  • Work closely with upper management to improve warehouse processes and efficiencies

  • Work with upper management on staffing and equipment needs

  • Ensure safety compliance for facility

  • Promote safety and report accidents or injuries in a timely manner

  • Maintain and organize used boxes & supplies necessary for order fulfillment & business needs

  • Report substandard or inconsistencies with supply quality to management

  • Ensure equipment maintenance is current and compliant

  • Overall general upkeep of warehouse such as sweeping, breakdown of cartons, and/or emptying of garbage bins

  • Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates

  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ management experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in training and motivating staff

  • Forklift Certified preferred, but not required

  • Ability to operate various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, handheld scanner, box cutter, picking cart, desktop computer, shrink wrap, and baler)

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience using FedEx, UPS, and DHL software for the purpose of shipping 

  • Ability to work well under general or minimal supervision

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ of WMS (Scale) experience preferred but not required
