Our Denver based client is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a fast moving, fun and exciting team. This team is responsible for operating and building/designing the main Data Lake, supporting over 28 different teams/orgs. This role will be for someone that is excited about developing new software, applications and services in the AWS ecosystem.

We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $62 - $70 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Facilitate access to the data, secure the data, and build applications to view the data (ex. new app takes data and builds visuals/dashboards real time)

Experience Requirements:

Need to Have:

  • Experience leading projects and presenting designs

  • Architecture and design of cloud-based systems and applications

  • Strong infrastructure as code (Terraform Preferred)

  • Python, Java or comparable programming skills (Python Preferred)

  • Knowledge of Airflow, EMR, cloud networking

  • Cloud provider experience (AWS preferred)

  • Experience with the design of Lambda, Kafka, Kubernetes

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Customer service aptitude

  • IAM or like permissions model design and implementation background

  • Cross account designs and systems

  • Background working in GitLab or similar CICD

  • Someone that likes the work and has fun getting to build and work with us

Nice to haves:

  • Strong background in automating Security patching for Cloud based services and services.

  • Experience with Container based services like docker, EKS and so on

  • Cost optimization by review of existing designs

  • A mentor that can train and collaborate with a team

  • Knowledge of Spark, Athena

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
