Our Denver based client is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a fast moving, fun and exciting team. This team is responsible for operating and building/designing the main Data Lake, supporting over 28 different teams/orgs. This role will be for someone that is excited about developing new software, applications and services in the AWS ecosystem.
We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $62 - $70 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Facilitate access to the data, secure the data, and build applications to view the data (ex. new app takes data and builds visuals/dashboards real time)
Experience Requirements:
Need to Have:
Experience leading projects and presenting designs
Architecture and design of cloud-based systems and applications
Strong infrastructure as code (Terraform Preferred)
Python, Java or comparable programming skills (Python Preferred)
Knowledge of Airflow, EMR, cloud networking
Cloud provider experience (AWS preferred)
Experience with the design of Lambda, Kafka, Kubernetes
Excellent communication skills
Customer service aptitude
IAM or like permissions model design and implementation background
Cross account designs and systems
Background working in GitLab or similar CICD
Someone that likes the work and has fun getting to build and work with us
Nice to haves:
Strong background in automating Security patching for Cloud based services and services.
Experience with Container based services like docker, EKS and so on
Cost optimization by review of existing designs
A mentor that can train and collaborate with a team
Knowledge of Spark, Athena
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
