OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company's High Performance Facilities team is seeking a Civil Engineer I for our Greenwood Village, CO, San Antonio, TX or Huntsville, AL office to support a variety of national defense projects from multi-building campuses to secure facilities, from mission critical to mission support projects to local infrastructure projects. From the reaches of the southern and northern hemispheres to training and operations facilities in multiple states and foreign countries, Merrick designs and delivers sustainable solutions to meet Government needs for resiliency, readiness, and reliability. Our work directly impacts the operation and efficiency of installations vital to the protection and defense of the United States.

Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.

Typical salary range for this position is $66,200.00 - $80,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and exper WHAT YOU'LL DO

This position includes entry-level civil engineering design work on projects. Candidate must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing CAD drawings while receiving supervision and instructions from supervisor(s). Design elements will include site layout, roadway, grading, erosion & sediment control, storm drainage, water distribution, natural gas distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems. The successful candidate will interface with Federal, State, and Local government client contacts as well as many levels of Merrick designers, engineers, and architects

Produces CAD documents using the basic working knowledge of Civil 3D software. Performs entry level routine technical work. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Performs a broad scope of assignments. Performs design, layout, and interdisciplinary coordination in the production process of project drawings and documents. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Coordinates the work of others who assist in specific assignments. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Civil Engineering from an accredited program Minimum zero (0) - four (4) years of experience. Working experience with Civil 3D Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of technical principles and practices Ability to respectfully and productively interact with other staff. Possession of basic oral and written communication skills. Ability to listen well and follow technical direction. The client projects for this position require United States Citizenship. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
