Job Title: Avionics Installer
Job Description
Avionics Installers are responsible for functional testing, repair/maintenance, and inspection of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. This includes systems such as radar, lighting, radio, entertainment, and navigational systems.
Responsibilities
Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and soldering irons.
Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes.
Connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters, and in-flight refueling systems.
Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.
Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance issues.
Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters to determine performance.
Maintain timely and accurate records of regular maintenance and repairs.
Comply with company policy and procedures as contained in company manual.
Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel to ensure the delivery of the aircraft on time to the customer.
Essential Skills
2 plus years of experience with avionics install.
Experience on corporate aircraft preferred.
Experience with Garmin 1000 and/or 5000.
Experience with Pro Line 21 (Rockwell Collins).
Experience with Honeywell equipment preferred.
Own tools that are etched and shadowed.

Work Environment
Climate controlled hangar. Working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
