Job Title: Avionics Installer

Job Description

Avionics Installers are responsible for functional testing, repair/maintenance, and inspection of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. This includes systems such as radar, lighting, radio, entertainment, and navigational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and soldering irons.

  • Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes.

  • Connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters, and in-flight refueling systems.

  • Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.

  • Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance issues.

  • Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.

  • Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters to determine performance.

  • Maintain timely and accurate records of regular maintenance and repairs.

  • Comply with company policy and procedures as contained in company manual.

  • Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel to ensure the delivery of the aircraft on time to the customer.

Essential Skills

  • 2 plus years of experience with avionics install.

  • Experience on corporate aircraft preferred.

  • Experience with Garmin 1000 and/or 5000.

  • Experience with Pro Line 21 (Rockwell Collins).

  • Experience with Honeywell equipment preferred.

  • Own tools that are etched and shadowed.

Work Environment

Climate controlled hangar. Working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
