Adams Electric Company 2025 Summer Internship - Construction Project Management in Greensboro, North Carolina
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Adams Electric Company's Summer Internship Program is a PAID, challenging, dynamic, fun and educational experience. We pride ourselves on allowing our interns to make a real value-added impact during their time with us by giving them opportunities to see the company from all different angles, participating in meetings with our clients and other team members, working on multiple projects and more! We take an individualized approach to our internships and specifically pair you with a mentor who knows the business and will grow your career interests.
This is an 10 week program: The first 2 weeks of your internship experience, you will be placed on a jobsite where you will gain hands-on experience and work with our leadership out in the field. You will come into the office and work with our Pre-Construction team and learn the estimation and bidding process. Next, you will work with our in-house BIM Team for several days. Finally, you will spend the remaining weeks working with your mentor!
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Managers are completely responsible for the management of the project from inception to 100% completion.
Learn to manage all labor of the projects task in an organized manner which meets the overall project schedule.
Assist with the coordination of the projects task in an organized manner which meets the overall project schedule.
Help to manage submittals, O&M manuals, red-lined drawings, maintain change orders and RFIs for punctual clarifications
Project Management Interns must exude strong leadership and respect for field operations staff including Superintendents and Foreman
Must build relationships and trust through his/her performance with general contractors/clients by displaying professionalism, integrity, accountability, quality and exceeding expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
College Juniors and Seniors preferred
Construction Management/Management/Other related majors preferred
Analytical thinking and design
Strong computer skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to adapt in stressful/demanding situations
Knowledge of BlueBeam, Revit, and other Virtual Design/Construction software helpful
