Description

This posting is for the Refrigeration Maintenance position at the Green Forest, AR.

This position will be scheduled for 2nd shift.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Refrigeration Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping equipment running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to stand on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

  • Duties could include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; climbing up and down stairs and ladders.
  • Lifting is required in many areas (up to 70 pounds).
  • Successful completion of a respiratory physical will be necessary.
  • These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends. Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet. Position requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet.

Requires high school connect 4 education, and/or industrial maintenance training or equivalent experience.
