Description
Head of Engineering
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Growth and Operational Support with strategic initiatives for the benefit of company growth and objectives.
Develop and implement effective engineering processes and best practices to enhance team performance and project outcomes. Provide strategic guidance and revise processes as necessary.
Develop, track, and report corporate KPIs to drive company success while keeping the company’s vision, strategy and methods at the forefront of decision making.
Ensure all teams comply with established corporate policies associated with ethics and compliance in addition to ensuring adequate training and documentation in line with company policies.
Lead the corporate team to develop a culture that attracts and retains high-performing team members to develop future leaders in the organization.
Conduct performance reviews, establish development plans, and provide technical training to grow direct reports and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Collaborate with other corporate departments to drive overall operational and performance improvement YOY.
Provides general oversight for execution and completion of comprehensive design verification, process validation protocols, and capital project budgets.
Interprets GMP, MDD, and ISO regulations into Company and product specific practices.
Ensures product, process, and project documentation is complete, accurate, and sufficient to allow development and production team members to understand critical requirements. Assembles technology transfer documentation. Provides development engineering input to cross-functional product development teams.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with company goals and compliance with industry standards.
Manage resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering projects.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that all engineering outputs meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Encourage innovation within the engineering team by promoting creative problem-solving and adopting new technologies by staying up to day on industry trends and advancements. Integrate sustainability and environmental considerations into projects to keep company competitive.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline. Prefer Master’s degree in related engineering discipline or professional engineering registration
8-10 years engineering experience in in the poultry processing and/or food industry and/or machinery fabrication industry, with 5 years at management level
Previous internal experience highly preferred
Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Proven ability to lead, influence, and inspire people and promote quality, safety, and teamwork
Strong organization, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, technical skills, and strategic thinking
Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $220,000 – $270,000;
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
