The Certified Metering Mechanic is located in the Greater Toronto Area and typically reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Their primary focus is utility submeter replacement, commissioning, verification. This is a part-time position. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complete verification inspection of electrical submetering systems
Submeter commissioning, verification and related trouble-shooting on submeter replacement projects
Equipment inventory, delivery, and return materials authorization
Verification of project design and configuration equipment ordering
Provide mentorship to Junior staff on removal, installation and commissioning of submetering systems
Travel within the Greater Toronto Area for project execution

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Post-Secondary School Diploma
Full MEARIE Certification is required
Electrical Trade Diploma is an asset
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
Experience as a Certified Metering Technician
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License and proof of insurance
Ability to work safely on a construction site (including electrical), inside or outside
Ability to safely work on ladders and lift devices (training will be provided)
Willing and able to travel within the GTA
