Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are currently partnering with an urgent care in West Michigan looking to add Medical Assistants to their team. This role involves managing core responsibilities alongside a small team of medical professionals.
Responsibilities
Bring patients back to their room and obtain vitals, medical history, reasons for visit, and prepare patient for their exam.
Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing.
Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Ensure patient immunizations are well documented.
Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
Essential Skills
CMA or RMA certifications.
Experience working as a medical assistant.
Experience in an urgent care setting highly preferred.
Skills in medical assisting, patient care, triage, phlebotomy, and taking vitals.
Proficiency in electronic health records.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to measure blood pressure.
Patient education and medical record management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Urgent Care Clinic setting. These are first shift roles with a schedule of 36 hours per week, typically structured as three 12-hour shifts. Gain in-person/hands-on experience in an urgent care setting with ample room for growth and opportunities. 8 am - 8 pm.
