Building Maintenance Worker - Grand Rapids, MI
Job Description
The Property Maintenance Technician will monitor three retirement buildings located in Grand Rapids, MI. These buildings are identical with two floors each. The role involves performing multiple daily walk-arounds to check both floors for any service, preventive maintenance, or troubleshooting needs.
Responsibilities
Perform multiple daily walk-arounds to monitor building conditions.
Change ceiling tiles, HVAC equipment, plumbing equipment, and minor electrical work.
Monitor thermostats to ensure comfort.
Perform 'TURNS' to ensure rooms meet HUD code requirements when residents move out.
Check the maintenance box for work slips created by residents.
Perform minor cleaning tasks as needed.
Coordinate with property managers and subcontractors for larger tasks.
Essential Skills
1+ year of building maintenance experience.
Comfortable changing filters in air handlers, lighting replacements, switch-plate replacements, caulking, flooring, and minor residential plumbing.
Own reliable transportation.
Tech-savvy and good communication skills with property managers.
Ability to be on call for three locations in Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
