Position Overview

The Construction Resource Scheduler will be responsible for but not limited to, allocating resources in all activities and updating them accordingly for the duration of the project, tracking project progress throughout the project life, managing internal crews on company scheduling platform, maintaining regular communication with construction department team members, and monitoring entries on field time submittals.

Wage ranges from $24 to $26 an hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Prepare the resource schedule, as per Company procedures. Monitor project progress by collecting the relevant information from foreperson's, p.m.'s & estimators to update properly the schedule as per Company procedures. Provide Planned Vs Actual analysis measured against the Baseline, as well as possible drivers and actions of improvement. Provide information to highlight any discrepancies between physical progress of the projects and planned schedule. Prepare and conduct scheduling meetings on a weekly basis. Exchange, share and communicate of all information inside the project team using Company standard and tools. Interface with all Company units on site or office based, as well as Superintendents to provide scheduling data for the Projects activities and resolution of potential schedule/work problems. Contribute to the growth and development of the overall Project Planner best practices. Coordination, analysis, and integration of schedules to support the program requirements. Review of project milestone definitions to ensure sufficient resources are allocated. Communicate effectively with all field staff members to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates. Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and appropriate personnel. Forecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the schedule. Monitor status schedule and progress. Develop contingency schedules to address work-around and unforeseen events. Comfortable working with all levels and functions in a constructive fashion to achieve responsibilities and goals required. Understanding the project life cycle. Demonstrate ability in driving the organization to use the data to drive risk identification, quantification, response, and control with respect to the master schedule.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Previous experience in heavy civil projects strongly desirable.

Work Requirements Must be 18 years in age or older. Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements Proactive approach, problem solving skills and analytical mindset. Ability to work under occasional supervision. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines. Superior organizational skills and detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality. Strong client-facing and internal communication skills. Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change. Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines. Fluent in English (Spanish a plus). Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred. Up to 10% of domestic travel.
