  • 1 year of experience with systems engineering, integration, or testing.

  • Experience in statistical analysis of experimental data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience communicating and coordinating with multiple functional teams and vendors.

  • Experience with assembly and measurement of Radio Frequency (RF) components at cryogenic temperatures.

  • Experience with quality engineering, failure analysis, or reliability engineering.

The full potential of Quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.

The Readout Quantum Systems Engineers (QSE) will focus on the readout system, spanning the entire quantum computing hardware stack from processor to room temperature electronics. The Readout QSE will be responsible for modeling readout system configurations and evaluating these against current and future requirements. The Readout QSE will ensure that as-built hardware performs as intended by owning the integration and test strategy for these components.

In this role, you will partner with Hardware and Software teams on the Quantum AI team to graduate new quantum systems into production. You will define the overall integration flow to go from tested components to functional systems. You will anticipate and understand system behaviors not seen by subsystem stakeholders. You will bring engineering practices to life to build complex quantum systems that meet well defined metrics of success.
