Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the individual to manage a variety of functions related to the field operations, and administrative functions of the Construction Department. The Construction Foreman will be responsible for ensuring goals are accomplished and deadlines are met. This position requires a strong focus on quality and safety standards.

Pay ranges from $33 to $38 an hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Coordinates daily work activities, job site organization, reading of plans, etc. Supervises and schedules work crews at each job site. Organizes job site goals, timelines, and stays within set budget. Drives to various job site locations. Assists with general laborer duties as needed, which may include shoveling, maintenance, and other tasks as required. Assists with heavy equipment operations, as needed at job sites. Maintaining time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred. 5 years of experience in the Construction/Building Materials industry preferred.

Work Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required. Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. PPE may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be to work in constant exposure to the outside elements, in all weather conditions. Ability to work in a safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment. Ability to write simple correspondence.
