Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Front Desk Office Administrator in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This role will primarily involve administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. The workplace will be a church setting, marking a unique intersection of administrative and community-based work.
Responsibilities:
• Greet guests and serve as the first point of contact, ensuring a detail oriented and positive representation of the organization
• Handle incoming calls, directing them appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary
• Manage the organization's calendar, preventing double bookings and updating changes in real time
• Compose correspondence and respond to emails in a timely manner, following established Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in booking events such as weddings and funerals, taking detailed information and creating both paper and electronic certificates
• Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records in the database
• Manage office supplies, ensuring they are fully stocked and neatly organized
• Handle confidential information with discretion, adhering to church business office guidelines
• Support ministry efforts by making copies and printing supplies as needed
• Utilize tools such as Google Shared Drive for effective communication and organization. Requirements • Have at least 1 year of experience as a Front Desk Office Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proficient in operating a switchboard, specifically handling 1 - 10 lines.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with clients professionally.
• Experience in scheduling appointments and managing calendars effectively.
• Ability to compose correspondence with clarity and precision.
