Citigroup Derivatives Settlements Intermediate Analyst - Hybrid in Getzville, New York

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing, high profile and energized team providing daily support to our Global Traders and Clients. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, who will join Markets Operations. You will play a pivotal part in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade.  Working closely with Business partners, Client’s, and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front to back Operations teams, with no issues. You will develop a broad and detailed understanding of the Organization’s landscape, culture, processes, and technology. You will have the opportunity to recommend creative suggestions on how to improve processes to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risk better serve our Clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activities

  • Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management

  • Support implementation of securities processing improvements

  • Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes

  • Review and analyze hedge fund activities, procedures to reconcile cash/holdings and securities pricing

  • Develop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standards

  • Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Aptitude for risk and controls with a risk management mindset.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Highly motivated individual with analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work and lead changes independently.

  • Must be a team player and committed to delivering Client Excellence to both external and internal clients.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$55,440.00 - $77,360.00
