TEKsystems Sales Representative in Genoa, Illinois
Description
The Sales Representative is a highly self-motivated, independent, and driven individual. The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the product portfolio to pharmaceutical, biological, laboratory, food, and/or other customers. This individual must have strong cold calling skills. This person will be tasked with seeking and closing new business opportunities, leveraging new and existing relationships, and clearly demonstrating that the company is the leading industry provider of temperature sensitive packaging materials. This rep will also learn and have a commanding knowledge of our product lines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates strong understanding of packaging products, promotes and sells offerings to individual customers within assigned territory. Displays thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, pricing, and campaigns
Independently establishes and organizes daily sales activities through cold calling customer follow up, and strategic account development.
Generates business through established and approved creative methods of lead generation
Properly utilize software resources including CRM, Sage, Office, Webinar and Conference software, etc.
Create and professionally present PowerPoints on marketing, training, and selling
Implement sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives
Negotiates prices or terms of sales or service agreements
Calls on prospective customers, masters effective sales presentations, provides technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and quotes customer appropriate prices
Implements effective sales closing techniques to ensure product sales goal is achieved
Responsible for achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the company's products or services
Monitors sales against forecasts and determines the objective for gained market share within the assigned territory
Works closely with inside sales, customer service and operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships within the organization
Provides feedback and daily, monthly, and annual reports to Sales Manager to enhance profitability of sales territory
Promotes company through positive ongoing relationships and activities
Duties:
They have 2-3 territories that are open currently
Cold calling
Presentations in person and live webinars
Winter months - slower period for sales but heavier period for business development and cold calling
Holiday Season for vaccines and food
50 cold calls a week as a KPI
Heavy on the account management side
Building a territory
Converting prospects to meetings/presentations
Follow up conversations with clients
Using HUBspot and D&B Hoovers to prospect and build out call sheets to engage customers with
Upselling their existing services around how the product gets to them is beneficial
Hours
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Skills & Qualifications
Proven sales experience withing manufacturing, packaging or pharma
CRM/Computer savvy
Being able to present to clients in person and over virtual
Previous sales experience
Nice Haves:
Life Sciences background within sales
HUBspot CRM

Demonstrates record of growth in a sales environment with emphasis on business to business sales and includes inside sales, outside sales, business development, cold calling
Candidate must possess strong persuasive interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.
Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies.
Minimal travel is required, but may involve visits either individually or with other personnel.
Trade show attendance locally and regionally as needed
Must have good organization and time management skills.
Ability to understand and adapt to customers' changing needs.
Demonstrates business acumen and strong knowledge of sales processes
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; college education preferred. 1 year or more of Direct Sales experience strongly preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
